VOICE OF THE VOICELESS

VOICE OF THE VOICELESS
I will speak for you voiceless man
Because at the bottom of your heart your pain is compressed
And cannot be expressed…
For you who are forced to silence your voice
And let those in power step on your rights.
For your cries that injustice has smothered,
For you that the hole of exile threatens
And death awaits.
For you, rejected and banned by societies,
Slave on your father’s land,
Foreigner in the country of your ancestors,
For you deported and refugees,
Victims of political conflicts in a divided world;
I will raise my voice for the afflicted and the oppressed,
For the dying child abused by his irresponsible parents;
Under the watch of a silent society that chooses not to listen to the sound of his agony.
For the sick woman mutilated and violated in her privacy by the pride of controlling men.
Hostages and victims of injustice,
For those that are forgotten on the lines of war.
My voice is for those that I killed because of their religion or race.
I'll speak for you writers and journalists, Poets and musicians,
Politicians, peacemakers and freedom activists,
For the martyrs of the Bible
For heroes of legends forgotten in the lines of our writing;
For you I speak!

Philanthropic nature of the poet is being observed clearly through this poem 'Voice of the Voiceless'.
