WAITING FOR YOU

I write this poem as I wait for you 
The need to write is something I must do
Looking around me and the things I see 
I think how lucky I am you belong to me

I see you now as you are heading my way
That beautiful smile brightens up my day 
I count my blessings that you are here 
My darling my sweetheart and my dear 

The twinkle in your eyes and kiss on my cheek
The words from your mouth as you start to speak
I really am such a fortunate and lucky guy 
I will love you forever to the day that I die
