Waiting to Be Reincarnated

 
Isn't it a laugh
that no one is driving this craft?

Ignoring all the warning signs..

Careening straight toward the void..

Conventional wisdom says we'll be destroyed..

Then again..

Maybe this is not the end..

Perhaps post death nothingness

is the sum of our previous life experience
and this scary transition
is just the beginning all over again..

Maybe this cosmic reboot 
is another chance
to get life right this time?

I just wish I had paid closer attention
and took some notes along the way
cause repeating existence mistakes
is what got us into this mess
in the first place
