Walked Away...

I couldn't make  you stay,

I couldn't stop you from turning away,

if I could figure out the words,

if I could just come up with something,

that wouldn't make you fade from my memory,

always and forever was a joke from your lips,

it was an entertaining thought to ponder into the abyss,

to make you stay here, with me, in this life, in this moment,

is something that I guess you forgot,

the moment your shadow faded from view.
