Poem -

"Waltz in La La Land"

It's a whisper of the sadness of letting go and still finding love in different ways. This poem is like a letter they will...

We started here - perhaps to end the same way.
We chased something only alive between the frames cause it wove our stories into one.
What linked us, was your eyes-
Sculptors of glory in the mundane.
We were dreamers, born from the same stars but in search of different skies.
You found love in surrender, I found strength in pursuit.
We're not to blame, are we?
You grasped for what we shared, but never caught the parts we diverged-
The parts I longed to be seen in.
I'll tuck it in the earth and say we drifted apart- supposed to carry the blame, yet the toll was more than my soul could raise.
I was learning to rest in the glow of your affection.
Time bleeds slowly, struggling to forget your shadow.
Can't promise on this being my last verse to you yet
- the sarcastic well-wisher of meĀ
