The Wandering Soul

The Wandering Soul

the wandering soul
by Jude Kyrie

I have a wandering soul
It is time for me go
Packing the suitcase of my mind
taking with me the fragrance
of her damp lovers hair
The cottage by the sea
gardens of wildflowers
Bending seagrass
In the salty breezes
Voices from
the oceans whisper
remember me remember.....
Above the cry of gulls
Almost moaning
don't go don't leave.......
She looks at me silently
knowing our time has gone
handing me a pearl conch shell
place it to your ear
in the concrete wastelands
Listen to the sea
Hear its heart
beating
come back to me
come back to me

As the door clicks
and my footprints
wash away in the sand

I'm not sure how this got away without a comment
It's painted perfectly with words, like taking a walk with you down the shoreline
Well done xo
