War Mothers

Today I am weeping 
Into the great river 
Which flows through a 
Mountain valley
These 
  Weeping tears 
       Extend into the Flooding river 
   Flooding humankind 
For today is the start ---Of war 
And we shall weep 
   Weep weep
       Into the deep ravine 
          Into the tunnels of hatred 
The scars of war 
     These weeping tears 
         As infants we weep 
 Into the soul of the mother 
        The Lord is thy shepherd 
And we shall weep 
   Weep 
       Weep
  For we are 
  War Mothers
