Poem -

Warlord

Warlord

At the heart you can hear
The death march play;
The suffering just like fingernails
Across the wooden table
Splinters penetrate inwards
Is the death of thousands

Like cattle to slaughter
Tears across the face
First the corners
Then the eyeball
Mostly the heart
Is suffering
So much suffering

Snipers shooting everywhere  Peace is nowhere

Children and women dead
Husbands and fathers gone
And we must look at ourselves
And wonder about
The cruelty that kills

So
I am
Killing

I am a
soldier

And

killing

I like this on Jai.  Shows so much about our world leaders and their inability to have compassion and their warlord like stances in the face of so much suffering.  Lovely piece.

I agree and I pray for peace everyday.  As with all Muslims, for which I am a moderate, I feel like so much suffering causes a dilution in our religion and it's time for us moderates to speak out against so much hate and virile attitudes that dilute the very essence of Islam through war and the violence against our natures.  Peace be with you and may the Prophet be by your side always.

I always think that

religion is an excuse for killing

it is almost always about power

Islam is a peaceful religion

as all religions

is only man that is not peaceful

you
