WARMEST OF HUGS

WARMEST OF HUGS

SHE TOOK ME IN HER ARMS
AND HELD ME CLOSE
I  COULD FEEL THE DANCING
OF HER HEART IN HER CHEST

THE RHYTHM CALMED MY SOUL
AS HER PERFUME HAIR
AROUSED MY UNTOUCHED SENSES
IT HAD NEVER BEEN EMBRACED
BY LOVE BEFORE

WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE
A CASUAL EMBRACE
OPENED THE DOOR TO ROMANCE

I LOST THE TRACK OF TIME
AND FIVE SECONDS IN HER ARMS
WERE AS A LINGERING SUNSET
IN THE HEART OF SUMMER.
