Waters So Blue

Waters So Blue

What will I find inside these waters?
So big and blue, collapsing my insides
A previous predicament where this father's
Shying away from problems and thought

A girl half-naked crying on a bed
The light of the moon shining through the blinds
Words on her face, "I'd rather be dead."
So many times for purpose she had sought

There's a mother, and her child is resting peacefully
A pile of rags under their fragile figures
But the mother is breathing oh so heavily
For it's so hard to not weep

There's a male with scars all over his body
He's ready to take some drastic measures
No matter how much you scream for him to stop falling
Nothing will make him not sleep

Someone I recognize stands before me
Fear and guilt inside their eyes
I'm not ready for what I'm about to see
I'm not ready to hear my own screams

Then I see a light shining in my face
And a few sets of eyes I recognize
Tears start to roll down my face
For it's not as bad it seems

What did I find in those waters so blue?
People who couldn't survive their own minds
Broken people who didn't know what to do
And I had almost found mine

Gladly I survived waters collapsing my lungs
And the weight feeling heavy above my head
For my new life has already begun
And I want to be happy instead

No more waters

Just light

Wonderful,  I  really like this. It comes over as a battle against inner demons, but with so much hope.
Well done, all starred and pinned.
