Waves
Drowning in the night,
right through the waves.
The cold night feels on the hands,
those bruised too many.
If the oceans could sing,
what would be your song?
Is it my hopeless screams,
wishing they heard any?
Mother, take my hand,
don't let me fall.
Father, pull me out,
cause breathing's hard.
Take my bones to the ocean's side,
where there's a quiet night.
Now let the waves take me to the place,
where my soul should stay.

Wow thank you ever so much. Those are the sort of feedbacks that lift us poets. I can’t wait to read more of your works. Cosmo is forever inspiring us all on here. It’s a nice place to write :)Â
agreed:)
So tragic and melancholy to read and also moving and engaging.
A real clarion call of despair and It captivated me from beginning to it's end.
Full honours to you and again a warm welcome to Cosmo.Â

thank you so much!:))
What a fantastic poem here. I really get the feeling of being pulled this was and that. Getting tossed around until you lose touch with reality. I think we can all feel like we are going through the motions sometimes. I really enjoyed this write. Welcome to the Cosmos Pia!
