We Are
We are the ones who don’t get enough sleep
We are the kids who lie awake with too much on our minds
We are the liars
We are the schemers
We are the ones who think we can be deep
We are the ones who believe love is blind
We are the ones nobody hires
We are the dreamers
We are the suicidal ones
We are the ones who always have a bad day
We are the ones who hate school
And get bad grades
We are the suicidal kids
Who tell other suicidal kids
That suicide’s not the answer
Even though we feel like it’s our only real escape
No matter how many pills we pop
Or drugs we take
The alcohol we drink
Or the cuts we make
We are the ones who dream of happiness
And think it’s a goal we’ll never reach
We are the ones who never think
But always dwell on our pasts
We are the ones who wander
But are not lost
We are the ones who wear a mask everyday
And the ones who hide behind the excuse that we’re fine
We’re the ones who keep holding on
Even when we want to let go the most
We are the ones who wish we were gone
And wish that we were just ghosts
We are the ones who hate ourselves
And blame ourselves for everything
We are the ones who spend days in the dark
Lying in bed on a pillow soaked with tears and smeared with mascara
We are the dirt bags
We are the losers
We are the ones who aren’t brave enough to die
But not brave enough to live either
We’re the ones who should just get over it
But can’t
What we don’t know is
Every saint has a past
And every sinner has a future

We all are not perfect. We all make mistakes. The ones that you see and wish you were like, have their secrets too! The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, but when you climb over and look back...the grass is still greener on the other side. Good write and lots of emotions. Good luck, Anthony
You’re mentally and emotionally  maturing WHILE you write this it seems. You grow DURING AND AMIDST these words. It was awesome to experience that growth.Â
