We Are America

We Are America

I am America because I am honest,
and ‘cause I have rights,
I am America because of my strength,
and ‘cause of my might,
I am America and I am proud

I’m not America because of how I look,
or where I’m from,
I am America because of what I do,
and because of what I’ve done,
I am America and I am proud

America is a place,
where people are happy and kind,
not a race,
or type of mind,
we are America and we are proud
