We Are Equal

Both You And I

We Are Equal

I sit and cry,
I am shocked and there is no answer why.
I weep for the family that lost their loved one.
Its not right, we are equal, both you and I.
No matter the colour, where we are from.
I hope together we can rise and be one.
Hope for better days, justice served and done right.
Peace on earth, praying to stop the hating and the fight.
Listening and hearing your pain, it’s just not fair.
I want each and everyone to know, I really do care.
I want to stop the hate, reach out and guide me on what to do.
For I have so much love, please let me give it to “You”.

We truly are.  Watching the news makes me cry.  It’s not fair.
