We Go To The Well For Water

A desire,
That on my own,
Cannot be filled.
Will you have me,
Go out of my way,
Carrying loads of buckets,
To the very top of the hill?
There dwells the well.
I must dip my bucket in,
And stifle an unquenchable thirst,
Given to me in quest,
For your purest waters.
No stream, pond, lake,
Or any body of water,
Fulfills that craving.
What centers in our universe,
Rests within the center of the well.
As often as many,
Times I get a chance,
I'll crest that hill,
Where few men have fell,
Drawing upon the waters,
With my bucket in the well.
