We Hit A Ghost!
A scary story to be told,
Listen carefully as it unfolds,
Don't be quick to disbelieve,
You'll thrive for more,
Just wait and see.
It all started one October night
A Harvest Moon, so bright,
Midnight madness so near,
What was there to be feared,
Only dullness filled the air,
Hungry for excitement.
Grab your gear,
We're going hunting,
Stop right there!
It's not what you're thinking!
Only thirsty for the thrill,
Searching for the unknown scare.
We traveled down an old dirt road,
Searching for an old folk tale,
Somewhere in this Potter's Field,
Looking for an unmarked grave,
We were told a Witch do lay.
Hold on just one minute,
There was four of us,
You need to know,
One who should have stayed at home,
For a drunken fool he was,
The danger we put him in.
As we traveled among the stones,
Seeking for just the one,
A warning became about,
I think we got to close,
Pitch black the darkness went,
As if our light went so dim,
Air so heavy, hard to breath,
Β We were not welcomed there,
I truly wish it was a dream.
Heed the warning,
We did take,
For only to be to late,
The drunken fool out of sight,
Missing from the group.
We searched the ground,
For the fool,
Screaming for him,
With no response,
Finally we found him,
Still no response came to be.
That's when we took a flash,
A picture if you have to ask,
A shocked look became us all,
White and cold we did turn,
For what we saw it cannot be,
A Smokey figure came from him,
Just like that he turned around,
Asking what was with all the fuss.
Just like that time to leave,
Not before the drunken fool,
Rolled down the window,
Asked him who he's talking to,
Then he proceeds to tell,
About a man that stands outside.
Heart racing with fear,
For we did not see,
Just like that we pulled away,
Not before the cat, mouse scene,
The drunken fool told us,
That the man was chasing us.
Next location came about,
In the woods is where to be,
Parked soon an unmarked drive,
A walk to the tree line,
Is all we got,
Before the air had thicken,
Two of us were to scared,
So we just went back,
As the others went ahead.
We reached the car,
Just in time,
For the others running up,
Slamming doors,
Screaming, "GO, GO, NOW!"
Filled with fear I floored the gas,
Backing out so fast,
That is when we heard,
A sudden THUMP, THUMP, THUD,
"OH, MY GOD," we all scream,
I think we just hit somebody.
With hesitation,
Filled with fear,
We had to take a look,
You see,
Only to find nothing.
Back at home,
We decided,
Had enough excitment,
As we listened to recordings,
To see if it was there,
To our shock there it was,
The thump, thump
And a voice that came acrossed,
"YOU HIT ME, YOOO."
Time to lay my head to rest,
Not before it appeared,
Repeating "YOU HIT ME,YOO."
I decided to reply,
"How can I hit something already dead?"
