~ WE THE PEOPLE ~

(Drive Tony, Drive)

~ WE THE PEOPLE ~

Drive Tony, drive
Is what I said, what I thought
As the pedal eased me into cruise
And as I watched the drivers goin' by
I began to realize, that we're All just,
Stayin' Alive...

Yes, We the People,
Of which I was one, were all finite
Finding, pursuing, our own happiness
Mis-perceiving soldiers, as free-willed
I began to surmise that we are All just,
Stayin' Alive.....

Yes, We the People,
A cog in the wheel, anchored too tight
Are evolving, solving, equation's quest
No longer the soldiers from birthright's nest
We are the answers, no longer butterflies
Just stayin' Alive....

Drive Tony, drive
Is what I said, what I thought...

Hey T....I can see you just driving and thinking....lol....I like how you take a famous title from the constitution and make it into your own reflection of people...how we are all just trying to make our niche in life....a purpose and place in the grand scheme of things...just doing the best we can!  ;)  I like the theme and feel of this..and how you actually got inspired by driving around and creating poetry in your mind.  Funny how inspiration hits like that.  I enjoyed the ride.  xo ;)  Love n Hugs, C
