We Travelin

Hallelujah We Travelin,We Travelin for equal rightsÂ
down freedom main line where there's a little fight!
In 1961 white people dislike blacks there were fighting there wereÂ
beating as "the whites thinks what was wrong with that".
I'm paying my way on the GreyHound Bus lineÂ
I'm happy that I can finally sit in the front this time.
In Nashville,Tennessee I know its not no joke walking downÂ
the street black can change a lot of minds to any folks.
Freedom is near finally we can vote Jim Crow ain't go stop usÂ
we're one of a kind!
I sat in, I walk in now my life changingÂ
I realize what I can be to people in just one day.
Skin color is just a color
u should not judge anyone that look different from another.
However I did not see why separate blacks from whitesÂ
we are all equal in just one sight.

Hello Angelic...
I guess it does matter which side of the tracks you're from...
I wrote a poem fourteen against one...
It was almost a daily thing for me...
If you are a witness to white on black...
You would have to see it that way....
When you are white being ganged up by black you see it another...
No matter what...
I agree with you that we shouldn't judge people who are different...
We are all different...
If we see it that way...
Great write!Â
Welcome to Cosmo!Â
Thank you for sharing...
Hugs...

@sparrowsong I wrote this poem February (BlackHistoryMonth) Â for my class and they was teaching us about Jim crow and his laws to separate blacks and white ....and we shouldn't judge anybody but that's how it was back then this...this poem is mostly about freedom like I really been though it all.Â
