WEAK

WEAK

I need to rest on my favourite chair

The one in the corner - that one over there

For I am tired and very weak

Resting and sleeping are the comforts I seek

I was once so fit played tennis in my youth

Now I can't stand up to get dressed and that's the truth

I am suffering with anguish and pain

I will never be so fit and active again

So let me rest and reflect on my life

I have been a loving mother and caring wife

And when it's time for me to go

I will say a fond farewell to the life I know
