WEEKLY CONTEST (9/19-9/26)

DAILY DOSE OF CHILDHOOD

A little girl alone in her dark room...

Glad for the nights of a bright and shining moon...

The little glow giving her a little light as she sits on her bed wondering how in the world did she get here...

Dark, safe and all alone pretending to be asleep is her only escape as the footsteps come closer and the doorknob begins to turn...

The door opens she must remember how she breathes when she is sound asleep...

But, she doesn't know the rhythm of the sound so she tries really hard to imagine how it might go...

To her very own surprise she must have done it right...

The door has closed again...

The footsteps get further away and she knows tonight she is safe...

She sits up and holds her pillow to her face and cries and with a tighter grip the more muffled are the sobbing sound...

She doesn't know how old she will live to be...

She just knows that everyday she will do the best she can to deal with the daily dose the world gives...

Inside and outside is a daily test of a little girl who can only dream of the someday she finds some kindness...

Hugs...

I love this! It holds the reader in until the end. I just wonder what's the girls situation and why is it so bad?

Hello BookWorm...

There was so much everywhere...

People in the outside didn't know her daily struggles in the inside and people on the inside didn't know of her struggles on the outside...

This was a very difficult write for me...

If you're looking for details of what she went through I'm not going to do that...

Thank you again for the challenge...

Thank you for your comment and support!
