Weighted

Weighted

It has solidified in time
Always growing heavier in back of the mind,
A guilty conscious can get the best
When neglecting to get it off your chest.

In the rise of dark hour seconds are left
To swear allegiance, sins to confess,
Haunting deeds have broken down going clinically insane
Drowning oneself with the mental ball and chain.

With a weight so overbearing, come and call the dark your friend
To lighten this load if you do it again,
We're promised the spirit lifting to heavenly dwell
Instead your weighted down creating the plummet to hell.
