Weighted Speech

Picture words, being a noise with weight. Having color. Maybe even taste.
Not like seeing wave lengths. Or writing musical notes. Words with actual mass.Ā
What if when we speak,
Words turned to smoke?
Now your word truly holds weight.
How would you cope?

Think, if the words we've saidĀ
actually followed us like clouds.
Would we run from them?
Or would we be proud?
Showing them all off,Ā
the truth and the lies.
Always watching what you say.
As they follow you in the sky's.

Easier to forget someone's kindness.
Those words wont stay around.
Kind words will rise higher and higher,
Rarely seen close to the ground.
But the words that hurt,
The ones we want to forget.
Those never float away.
Some heavy as cement.

Some would call that a nightmare.
I could see it now.
Streets would be empty.
Everyone ashamed of their cloud.
Just give it some thought.
What if this was true?
Would you change for the better?
If so, change now. What's stopping you?
