Westbury One

Westbury One

Short Circuit 2 at the Westbury One,
The first time we eyed the young fabled Five,
with silver lined treads and bright steel blue eyes,
alive in our minds with miles to run.

Still there in our car we horded the fun,
Mom and Dad's 'houettes aglow in the front.
Kid brother asleep in his cozy car seat.

And my six year old dreams awake as can be...

The radio tuned to an audible buzz,
the view set askew by the frame of the shield.
The heat of the summer instilling its yield...

All now a part of the joy that once was...

That night in the light of the Westbury One.
