as a child seeing this happening,
I  can only guess it stays with you for you to write about it
so poignantly 
it is easy to say remember the good times, but them bad times

i am not sure what was actually penned here 

when I read it I could feel the loss of a parent something I've been through more than once when I saw hit I thought of a car crash and not abuse but that's probably because of my experience 

and that's the beauty of poetry I did see this differently then the others but felt it just the same as a tear fell from my eye
