What Do I Write For, A Poets Creed

What do I write for?
I'm not a fighter I'm a writer words hurt more,
Fighting's for people who don't have the ability to spit,
Words are powerful ever hear the phrase loose lips sinks ships,
Or that the pen is mightier then the sword, cause my words are stronger then any fist,
You can duck this right hook, but the right words will never miss,
I write for the new born baby down to the longest tooth,
I write for integrity, dignity, pride and the gods honest truth,
I'm not a rapper I'm a poet, I don't write to make you dance I let me words dance in your brain,
They make you think and reevaluate, then leave a word stain,
I make you remember the friend you forget whenever the "cool people" are around,
I'm the angry voice of that person you bully and intimidate who's to scared to make a sound,
When I write I construct imagery, a pen and paper are my tools,
I respect those with intellect and ignore the fighting fool,
I write for the girl who keeps getting burned by bad boys and acts like she don't understand,
I'm the voice of the nice guy who's not thug enough to be her man,
And you ask "What Do I Write For?"
I can't help but to write words sweat out my pores,
Cause sticks and stones may break your bones but my words will go right through you,
I not need to use my hands my poetry will move you,
I don't throw punches, I throw words,
I have the ability to stop wars when I am heard, with on single word "Peace",
See you drop a bomb and that generation is wiped out and will never return,
Drop the right lyrics and you'll leave something for generations to pass on and learn,
The greatest fighter ever was Muhammad Ali,
Is he known more for his fighting or his float like a butterfly and sting like a bee,
And Martin Luther King with all the great things about they teach,
What stands out the most its his "I Have A Dream " speech,
Think about it Maya Angelou, Hughes, Wordsworth, Poe, Shakespeare,
They've been around hundreds of years and it will be hundreds more that their words will be music to our ears,
Fighting only makes the other person fight back, so again I ask what are you fighting for,
Unclench your fist pick up a pen and let your mind soar,
Become a Poet, we write to inspire we can knock down any door,
We are Poets heavy weight champions of the world "HEAR OUR ROAR",
So write and you'll will fight "never more, never more",
And you ask " What Do I Write For?"

Thank you, appreciate the feedback.
Terrill…I like your perspective.  We write to traverse terrain that can only be described in words which are sequestered in our hearts.  Sometimes these words are never spoken orally as they are too large to simply fit into the air then disappear forever.  Human thought should never be destroyed.  Hence, the words of poets/writers can't be destroyed because they are in the memory of generations.  As you said…words leave a stain!
