What happened to Rita?

What happened to Rita?

Time time
Is coming
To die
Prepare
A white sheet
Closing eyes
Time time
--
What happened to Rita
In her ghost frame
Eyes in pain
Walking somnambulantly through the cracks
Of her past life
--
Hospital admittance 2AM
White Caucasian female
Age 41; emaciated
Resisting staff
Administered Valium
--
Ghosts in the hospital ward
What happened to Rita taunt
Until every eye is wet
Every heart is dead
Every soul lead
--
What
happened to Rita
:
what happened to Rita
:
what happened to Rita

My Dear Brother Poet Jai,

Oh, our dear Rita, barely four decades old.  So young, too young to perish from this Earth.  Yet, life slayed you, you fell through the "cracks", until your emaciated body gave out.  Only eighty-three pounds left of what once was a powerful frame.  Only moments left until your sweet misguided soul departs.  Oh Rita, our dear Rita.  Whatever happened to Baby Jane?

Peace and Love,

Larry xxx
