To Whatever Ends

On the eve of my release 
may my faith increase
For I will need You more each day
for Your guidance I wholly pray
My hope resides fully in You 
show me what I must do
I read of the Promises written
and by them I am smitten
I have only this pen, this fount of words
let them be those needing to be heard
May I swallow this bitter pill
that I only what I do be Your will
To whatever ends I'll boldly go
so that others, Your love, may know
