Whatever happened ?

The years have just passed by so quickly !

Whatever happened,

To all the dreams I fostered wholeheartedly ?

Whatever happened,

To all my brazen confidence and enthusiasm ?

Whatever happened,

To all that heated passion and strutting idealism ?

Age and experience has changed what I perceive,

More than ever I question what there is to believe !

No more do I expect any ambition to be realized,

I am now content in declaring that 'at least I tried' !

Whatever happened to me ?
