What's the World Really Made For

 I've seen it through eyes of an innocent boy with an everlasting smile of perpetual joy
The feelings I learned were of love and content for the little old lady and the puppy I met
Time was no burden each day was a loan and all I had to do was grow

What's the world really made for, so many years I've wondered why
What could life possibly have in store, where do you go when you die

I've seen it through eyes of an eager young man, who thought he knew the Master's plan
The feelings I felt were all happiness, life was a constant trek to success
Time was unhurried each day came and went, I never had a single regret

What's the world really made for it's time I gave it some thought
And what can it possibly have in store, when my battles have all been fought

I see life through eyes that now have trouble seeing, I'm just an old human being
The feelings I feel are pain and sorrow, I no longer need tommorrow
Time is a burden, each day brings another, I long to be back in the womb of my mother

Whats the world really made for, what purpose is there to live
And what can it possibly hold in store, when I've nothing left to give
