When A Man Loves A Woman

When a man decides he loves a woman, I think that this is true;

That a woman falls in love more easily, and for a man, it’s harder do!

Especially, in these new times, with pressure from his peers;

Just love them and then leave them, before a marriage nears!

But not all men are like this, for there exist, a special few;

Who will fall in love with their first sight, of a woman they think is true!

And they wait on pins and needles, to see if she reciprocates;

They tread on ice so thinly, as they ask her for a date!

Some of them get lucky, when she smiles and says “of course”;

But others get their hearts broke, when she says “no”, without remorse!

But even if they are fortunate, and go out with this “woman of their dreams”;

They walk on emotional tightropes, until they know she’s on their team!

So I’d like to thank my soulmate, who from the very first;

Let me know that she too, felt just what I did, and for our union did she thirst!

In a few days we pledged our true love, now years later, the two of us are whole;

In love until the ends of time, and sharing each other’s soul!
