MORNING GEESE

MORNING GEESE

WHEN GEESE FIND YOU

Ricardo Antonio Garcia

6AM Geese surround the boat

flying on the gunnels and picking at the hull.

Father time has allocated them

to awaken us from the fathoms of our sleep

and though deep, we hear their echoes.

Sun, barley rising

the morning glows in our eyes.

Dog, turns in her bed

and catches us awakening to the light.

The new day is tolerant

and asks nothing from us as it nears

peeling away the dreams

uncovering the hours ahead with reality.

6:05 AM and we shower

placing our clothes neatly on the bunk

the same routine happens often

as long as the pump continues to work.

Sometimes a curse, on a worse day

living life on a floating craft.

Generating vibes of Light

we exude our thoughts for his Godly name

and personalize them

as a blessing should always be.

How we can see

the affirmations come forth as a ray

for poetic words will tell

the tongue of His majestic Way.

6:10 AM and we embrace

for the Love that mends His Grace

see us in the first morning Light.

When Geese find you

the Lord has betrothed His Love.
