When I see you hurt

Pain hides behind your disguise,
staying hidden from the look in your eyes

You hide it so well people so can't see,
appearing well when it hurts like you like hell

Years and years of hiding it there, out of view, over there,
always giving everyone else your love and care

The want of taking it away from you,
to grab it, pull it and hurl it from view

To hold you, to kiss you, our love so pure,
we can beat it and everything and that's for sure

hidden in there it just isn't fair,
but no one else but me knows it's there

You are strong, you are true,
that hidden pain had never beaten you

The strongest of the strong, the kindest of the kind,
the pain in you has never been that far behind

Even though sometimes it catches you,
it will never take control that's true

It's hidden there, I saw it today,
I will help to keep it at bay. 

We are one and we will prevail, slay that pain and keep it away.
We grow stronger every day.
