Poem -

When I was Younger...

(A/N: Please give feedback on the last two main stanzas as I don't particularly feel as though they fit as they do not rhyme, I am aware that not all poetry needs to rhyme but I feel like with the flow of this particular work that it must, thank you)

When I was younger I met a boy,
six foot tall, went by Troy.
Slender build and drugs galore
I wasn't to know it made him a bore.

When I was younger I met a girl,
Five foot six, pretty as pearl
Curvy beaut, way too proud
Though she looked for a man, who's well endowed.

Troy found the pearl and they fell in love,
when together they laid
he fit like a glove. 'Give more!'
One evening, I heard, the maiden implore

One dark night I heard feminine screams,
I just let myself dream
Maybe one day I'll find love
And to be as happy as those two doves

'Let go!' She screamed, I jumped out of bed.
I found her laying dead,
at the top of their chamber
He stood over her, face full of sombre.

I never again envied others,
for that fateful night my friend,
we covered her body.
I was happy to be introverted

Finally I was happy to be me.
