When the rockets hit your town

When the rockets hits your town
And you're running down the road
With your hands over your ears
The door seem so far away
The steps to the bunker seems so far away
Safety seems so far away
You were nearly there
Dragging your child with you by the hand
The palm of your hand that bleeds
This frozen moment
Just you and your child
Incinerated by the enemy
Gone
When the rockets hits your town
And you are baking bread
White flour turns red
A fine mist covers over you
That says it's all over
There is nowhere to run
There is nowhere to hide
There is nowhere to go
Your oven is on
The furnace is litĀ
The heat intense
For the enemy has woken and it'sĀ
Just you and your child
Incinerated by the enemy
Gone
It's a sad day indeed
For the home that you built
And the pain that you bleed
Nothing seems normalĀ
Ordinary does not exist
The schools you once visited
Covered in the mist
The books that once lay
On the desk in the front
Looking all black and burnt
Just you and your child
Incinerated by the enemy
Gone,Ā
....when the rockets hits your town
Ā
