When She Crossed Over

When My Love crossed over,
Ā  Ā  I wasn't there.
When the heavens welcomed her,
Ā  Ā  she floated among the stars.
Alone, but comforted by hope,
Ā  Ā her eyes turned toward a distant sun.
For there she joined the nexus of time,
Ā  Ā and released her life gone by.
That's what the angels told me,
Ā  Ā but I don't know it on my own,
Because when My Love embraced eternity,Ā
Ā  Ā I wasn't there, you see.

Sad poem but very well written !!Ā  I know the feeling...
I also wasn't there when my only true love left, people didn't tell me for 2 days, afraid that I would do the same, and yea I geuss I would have done it in the first days, but later on I saw the impact on everybody... It just made the pain grow faster.
I was aware of the suffering but never thought it was growing so deep inside, to the point of a total wreckage and committing suicide... It's been a few years now, my own suicidal tendencies are gone now, but I'm still suffering.

If I would have known I would surely have tried to make things better and easier, but yea... I was also suffering at that time so I thought I had a great understanding, yet I failed to truly understand... on time... But to late... Sad but true
I wonder at the stars more often now...
