Poem -

When she recalls her youth.

When she recalls her youth.

I'm a dancing figurine, that lays in dusts accord, you see she's grown and little attention I can then afford

I wind up dancing for a while, when she recalls her youth Although she's older than she was I know I'm loved and that's the truth

A replica of memories when she requires faith and light I dance to the rhythm of her heart Long hours into night

As time has past I have been lonely Upon a shelf so out of reach Though I have my ability to touch the heart within her, and freedom I can teach

She moved to another house, and apartment sharing space And just like that an angel came Within the times of grace

They played me at the funeral, and I danced as though I'd never stop And if I could then I would cry , Every single drop.

Truly a work of art. You know I devoured every line and chewed on each to savour every mouthful. This is so beautiful I honestly dont have words. What touched me the most is I have a dancing figurine of an american indian girl, she twirls flying a flag with a lone wolf and an eagle. Her song is captivating. I am the figurine. I could pick this piece apart and describe my thoughts and feelings on every word but I will highlight just these two...

'A replica of memories when she requires faith and light'

we hold onto our past and memories like we are a replica of the past and if we dont hold on we will lose that part of history when all we require is release from it. And this one...

'Though I have my ability to touch the heart within her, and freedom I can teach'

we have the ability to touch our own hearts and set them free, we can move ourselves with the power of love. Or ot could be talking about someone else and being able to reach them but im going with the interpretation the figurine is a representation of self.

I am absolutely hungry for your words. They are a feast to me.

Sending love and light always ❤☀❤
