when that inner voice speaks.
Struggling through the thing's of the past, hoping that one day the shame and guilt will never last.
The weight heavy on your heart, you feel parts of you break still trying to hold on for your own sake.
Fear of drowning, being consumed, taken over then depression kicks in and you sleep youre days over.
Wanting to forget everything as you bury yourself, your head in the sand, hoping your dreams take you to a better land.
The inner battle as you fight for what you once knew, the heart, your soul, the natural person that once did drive you.
There's sadness of will that makes you want to give in, you've taken enough and all you hear is the din.
Still somewhere deep there's that person you once knew that cries out I'm still here but you have to find me too.
"Dig deep" the gentle voice speaks, like an angel so dear, stop fighting yourself it will all become clear.
A light that sparks, tearing its way through, opening up the parts that's been destroying you.

Hi Ann-Marie I could relate to your write the
feelings and emotion within it of past shame and
guilt and ending up getting depressed about it,
I don`t know if this is true for you but if it is
I hope you can get passed these feelings as i find
hope in your last few lines,
A heartfelt honest write hugs Debs
Hi deborah love, this is something true to me as my experiences through my childhood leaading to adult life wasn't very pleasant plus also left scares.
I write from my heart in hope to help people see that they are not alone in there feelings but also that there is a light at the end of the tunnel even thought it is a struggle.
Much love too you.Ann-marie xXx
Ann-Marie Scott this is an amazing piece of art, this is more then just a simple written piece! I'm amazed to the point where I don't know what to say! This poem speaks to the hearts of people depressed and people lost. Congrats on the nomination. I'm inspired to write a piece from this.
Much Love, Never Unknown
Never unknown
Thank you so much for you're lovely comment and within this comment is what I was hoping for. To capture the truth in how a persons heart, head really feels, thinks in times of need as I know myself I have been there plus still at time's have to still deal with. Just knowing there are other people going through the same can help so much, knowing you're not alone.
Glad I can inspire you to dig a little deeper in what you may write next.
Thanks Marie xXx
Tears flowed and the healing begins... good work!
Thank you xXx
