Poem -

When the dawn breaks

When the dawn breaks

Are you coming, cuckoo, with me

to sit on the shoulder of wind

and to sing a song

when the dawn breaks,

and fragrance spreads around?

Are you coming, cuckoo, with me

to take bathe in the river,

to form  garland of flowers,

to ride in a flowery boat?

Are you coming, cuckoo, with me

to sing a song, sitting on the branch

of a peepal tree by the temple jetty,

and to meet my deity there?

Are you coming, cuckoo, with me

to garland him,

To get back a tight kiss in return,

and to return home  smiling?

I can’t  postpone it for tomorrow,

no no, should be done right now,

here I’m  running, unnoticed!

Are you coming, cuckoo, with me?
