When the North wind doth blow ❄️

When the North wind doth blow ❄️

Can you feel the North wind’s
Nasty nip in the air
Icily stinging your nose
As you take a stroll out there

Temperatures have plummeted
Its almost minus degrees & below
I hate to say what I am thinking
But it feels like its gonna snow

Passed halfway through January
Winter’s faired us well
But goodness knows what the rest will be
I’ve a feeling I can tell

Knee deep in the white stuff
Before we make it to the Spring
I wish I had bought snow tyres
I cannot drive in that dam thing

Stuck indoors for ages
Relying on my feet
Huddling by the radiators
To try & gain some heat

Just the very colour of snow
That freezing, frosty white
Sends me all a-shivering
It hurts my eyes, too light & bright

But its no use me moaning
It will be what it will be
By the time that Spring arrives
It will be milder & snow free
