Poem -

Where A Kingfisher Roamed

Did you ever
Go down
To the river

Where a kingfisher
Might once
Have roamed free

And...

Did you ever
Raise eyes
To your sky
And
Scream out

Come on home now
Alive,
Come on home!!!
Home
To
Me

And...

In your quivering grass
Sink down low
To your knees

Uncaring
And
Crushing

Those living daisies

And...

Did you feel
All the silence
Shush quiet
Hold quite still

By that river
That river
On your own
Distant hill...

Did you ever?
