Where are you?
Here! Listening to the bluesΒ
Here! Listening to my heartΒ
Here! Listening to you playing all over meΒ
The gentleness of you, calming at every touchΒ
My weakened body, moving in ways undefined
to the rhythm of your lips
Here! Listening to you
breathe a breath of air,
held so captiveΒ to the momentΒ
and the blues
become us
as we once knew
willing us to smile
to laugh
to embark on the next adventure together.Β
