Where Do Broken Hearts Go?

The incomparable “Whitney Houston”, the great singer we all know;
My favorite song she ever sang was, “Where Do Broken Hearts Go?”
I listened to it often, but now, it’s words I much more comprehend;
For since that night you had to leave me, my heart’s been broken and will not mend!
I know where part of it is now residing, for when you left, it went with you;
The other half stayed down here inside me, as it broke right into two!
But it’s now so sad and lonely, its’ beats I hardly feel;
It longs to kiss its’ other half, and daily pleas for its’ appeal!
The only time I can placate it, is at night, when I dream of you;
Then the halves are back together, and mine is not so blue!
But all too quickly, you have to leave us, for the dream has come to end;
And my lonely half retreats back to its’ caverns, until you come again!
So now I’ve learned the answer, of where the hearts all go;
Half stay here in living Hell, while up to Heaven, its’ partner flows!
But Whitney and her Bobbi Kristina are together, their hearts now joined anew;
And someday I’ll be coming up there, so then, we can be reunited too!

Hi sweetie,
That`s a lovely piece and so full of meaning and so much love. It is a beautiful tribute to a very talented lady but also says so much to others who have lost someone too. You are a wonderful writer and I will never tire of your work. Well done for another wonderful love filled and well written piece.
Love G xx
Hey LARRY!!....... love that song ~ and anything Whitney for that matter.......... but the way you crafted this is truly lovely brother......... the idea that the pain of missing her is placated at night only....... while dreaming the two halves are whole is not only romantic ........but brilliant in its creativity..........ALL STARS........ well done my brother poet............ Love and Rockets!!..........T xo
Hi Tony,
As usual, the only thing that rises above your "Love and Rockets", is my ego, that you've oversaturated with the rocket fuel of my vanity. Without you, I'd just be lifting off, but you've already landed me on the surface of the moon!
Peace and Love,
Larry
