Where I am no more?
When I am no more?
Who will cook in this kitchen when I am no more?
Who will wander the hallway and open this living room door?
And I am wondering, how many feet will walk on that squeaky floor
And will they ask of the people that lived here before?
Who will walk up my garden path? watching the bickering birds on this broken bird bath
And will a woman come to this garden line?
Pegging wet clothes out to be dried in the wind, when the weather is fine?
Will anymore children be raised in this little house?
Flitting the nest when they are adults, to live with a spouse
For forty four years I have opened this back door
So I wonder, will I be a ghost walking these floorboards, when I am no more?β¦
