WHIMS - A POEM BY WILLIAMJSI MAVELI
WHIMS

WHIMS
Green to love's thrill, a chase I deemed absurd,
Until your gaze ignited passion's flame.
Though burdened by your fights, your love still stirred,
A fortress built, where whispers spoke my name.
Within your hold, my doubts began to cease,
A haven carved from trust, a love so true.
My heart laid bare, a treasure meant to please,
Yet shadows crept, your ardor waned anew.
"Stressed," you declared, a weight I couldn't claim,
While others graced your time, their woes confessed.
The truth unveiled, a love consumed by shame,
My place in doubt, a lingering, bitter test.
So with thew strength from lessons learned before,
I turn from chase, to seek love's honest core.
