Whirlwind
Wind of phantoms diving at life!
Cracks the trees with a dull knife!
Gusts push over the shaky fence!
Slaps of cold rain give it a rinse!
Lean into the thunderous gale!
Ships seeking port; only to fail.
Eye of the storm; short lived peace,
Damage now; will only increase!
Shafts in the whirlwind demolish!
Scouring sand; begins to polish!
Ripping at walls that are left!
Launching last studs that are cleft!
Destruction complete this hour!
Evil only seeks to devour!

Oh, very sublime and subliminal on offer in equal measure here Jim, very, very clever and a rollercoaster to ride on and works on all levels.
Powerful and extremely creative ink displayed and a darned great read.
No punches pulled and real cut to the chase lines,Β the essence of polished and direct writing.
Loved reading this Jim.
And thank you for the poetry rush.
