White Dove With No Wings

White Dove With No Wings

White dove with no wings

To the altar, you have taken meĀ

In a white pure dress full of laceĀ and pearls, and a long beautiful veil.

Only for a brief time, as that white dress became grey,

each pearl turned Into heavy granules, the lace was twisted with desirable dreams of passion that have never been realized.

That beautiful veil, no longer a veil but a long old rug, ready to be burned,

made into dust, just like grey smoke incinerating the air, suffocating each breath taken.

Trying to assemble each piece of that picture but kept falling to the ground like flakes of snow on a cold winter day.

Well written piece Maria, if it was love that dove would have flown yet it seems to wear in time. Tragic yet beautifully written well done. Allstars.
