Who am I ?

You rely on me for everything
each time you have a thought
Sometimes you don’t give me time to help you out when you are overwrought

But none-the-less I listen to what you have to say
I try my best to give you guidance
I help you come what may

If only you would take things slow instead of racing past
Sometimes you almost leave me behind but then you are harassed

I prefer to think things through
I need time to solve a riddle
However I find you hurry me up
Your like a fast played fiddle

I am not complaining
I realise this is just your way
You cope the best way that you can
whilst you work and in your play

If I could give you some sound advice
Can you please try to take some rest
It’s a fact of life that after sleep
that’s the time that I work best

Don’t burn the candle at both ends
For that would never do
You’d wear me out just like yourself
then who on earth would you turn to ?
