Poem -

Who Are You?

Who Are You?

The darker the nights,

The happier I grew,

for, the dawn is not far off!

The greater my tribulations,

The happier I grew,

for, good days are not far off!

The farther we’re,

The closer we become,

for, love doesn’t feel the distance!

I keep my eyes closed,

to find you dancing,

for, you’re well within my heart!

I want to be confined to myself,

And there you take me whole the world

for, you want to be my companion always!

I look at the mirror,

to see you smiling at me!

I break the mirror,

To find you giggling around!

I go to the woods to be alone,

And there you come as gentle breeze,

spreading fragrance of all the gardens!

I go to the seashore,

To find you come as laughing waves,

embracing me in your arms!

I try to catch hold of you,

And there you’re far off,

leaving me thoughtful for a moment!

I go to the mountains,

And there you’re on zenith,

to take me yonder the horizon!

Upon your becoming someone’s

I ask you to leave a sign of our love.

“I leave you my soul to cherish,

All I take is a frozen body to its fate.”

Looking decades back now,

I grow happier as the night gets darker,

for, the dawn is not far off!
