Who I really am

Who I really am

I hide who I really am
fake smile upon my
face, not asking
much but sometimes
I need a little space
to collect myself
so I don’t
suffocate.

Making sure everything
is in place day by day,
not wanting to get
blamed if running
late.
if it’s the hands of time,
maybe it’s fate,

I’m always in a hurry
to wait, not knowing
if I’ve got what it
takes, just to love
myself enough
and escape all
this hate...

Being Me

I found this so sad. I ask myself often, "Why am I never enough?" Its hard faking the smiles when all you are doing is clinging onto sanity on the inside. Hugs x
