Who I really am

Who I really am

I hide who I really am
fake smile upon my
face, not asking 
much but sometimes 
I need a little space
to collect myself 
so I don’t 
suffocate.

Making sure everything 
is in place day by day,
not wanting to get 
blamed if running 
late.
if it’s the hands of time,
maybe it’s fate, 

I’m always in a hurry 
to wait, not knowing 
if I’ve got what it 
takes, just to love 
myself enough 
and escape all
this hate...

Being Me

I found this so sad. I ask myself often, "Why am I never enough?" Its hard faking the smiles when all you are doing is clinging onto sanity on the inside. Hugs x
