WHO KILLED COSMO???

Oh dear, well... it has to be said
Cosmo's so boring it's practically dead
No interaction or banter or fun
Let's all just post and then
Run run run run
Maybe I'll vote youĀ
If you vote me first
But I don't want to read you
I've really no thirst
For anything other than
What I've to say
Twas never so selfish...no,
Not back in the day
When newbies were welcomed
Became part of the team
When poetry fun comps were part of this scene
When twas kindness that mattered with egos left home, there...
I feel so much better
Now I've had a good moan
Miss you Cosmo š

fun stuff Marion! I keep trying to make new friends here, Cosmo doesn't do much for their part, covid seems more than they can overcome. IĀ believe it will eventually recover! with wonderful writing like yours, how can it not?............................................Jim.
Lol...it may be my 'wonderful writing' that killed it lol...oh dear ššš
wonderful poemĀ
cosmo istn the same as itĀ
was when i came inĀ 2016Ā
the CEOĀ was more in to it
i dont know what happen
to them but maybe it will
change around we allĀ
do support one another
and all the new bes and thats allĀ
goodĀ
Yea..we used to have such fin on here Greg didn't we...those silly competitions between ourselves...Simon, Poettess Darkly, Lonely Journey, BM, etc...miss them All xx
Plainly said in words. Loved reading the honest brutal truth of this.
I only joined in april 2020 so my experience is quite short and at that time I found it fun and engaging, making new friends like yourself and I briefly remember the fun word prompt challenges.
I havent been on here as consistently this year. But I have heard the same and do find it to be very different this year.
it's a shame if the cosmo community cant be as fun and engaging as before.Ā
I hope things change. And I hope the competitions continue with winners announced.
I'm so glad that I have made some really good friends through this site and there are some exceptional writers that I am fans of too.

Oh P...it doesn't matter how often you've been on ..you always engage. I have been lost to myself this year also but the changes on here are really huge ššš
I see....it does seem like the ones who suppose to manage this site are no longer visible or involved anymore. Shame though. Px
Totally agree. I can only assume something drastic has happened during all the covid drama, for them to go so silent. But at the same time, someone is still investing in the hosting of the site, so I am hopeful they havenāt fully given up, and just maybe a miracle will happen and things will improve...I hope š¬xĀ
It is a sad truth. I wish the contests were taken seriously by the people at the top. If they could see the commitment of all those who have continued to try and keep the pulse of Cosmo going. Like P I was a late joiner. So I donāt know how it fully was back in the day. But I do know how devoted some are on this site, even now when it lacks interaction. It is always so sad when people just post and run. Half the fun is in talking about the poems and reading. Not just writing. Letās hope it begins to build back up to its once great self. It would be lovely to experience it at its best. Despite the emptiness felt right now. I can say, I have met some amazing writers and beautiful minds here on Cosmo. I wouldnāt trade that in
Gwen xĀ
Marion,Ā
Bravo! I totally agree, I have moved on from Cosmo to bigger and better things! There are so many more interactive groups on Facebook,Ā and so many aaps like Poetizer.Ā I am on my fifth book and also administrator of the Facebook site the Passion of Poetry,Ā we do open mic sessions,Ā competitions with certificates etc. We support each other, and there is so much sincerity there, that many from Cosmo are now moving to Facebook.Ā Cosmo was great 6-8 years ago, but ideally it needs to be an AAP.Ā Shall we hold hands and say a prayer for Cosmo? Is it dead and buried?
What SA said. Iāve seen sites like Cosmo come and go over the years.
cyberspace innovates at light speed. Whatās new becomes old near instantly.Ā As cyberspace expands exponentially weāll all be lost in its scope.
JP, there is so much truth in what you say. On the 28th of October Mark Zuckerberg announced Facebook was dying. That the younger generations are not interested in it, and due to a number of ethical issues caused from Facebook, he has rebranded his company and it is no longer called Facebook, but instead Metaverse. You wonāt need a Facebook account to use it. He is transforming the social platform again with new technology. He is no longer investing his time with Facebook. It is being phased out.Ā
Just incase people think am bonkers here is a linkĀ

Cosmo might be a smaller site. But it is purely for one thing, creativity.Ā Ā Because of the less complications, it has a chance to rebuild and last longer.Ā
But I guess only time will tell. Letās watch this space :)Ā
Metaverse the concept will change everythingĀ

And so it begins ;)Ā
And so it beginsā¦..
wow.....cant keep up with it all....
Me too P, it always amazes me how swiftly we are advancing with technology and other thingsĀ
True, true, TRUE!!Ā Just found this little gem of truth. Sorry I missed it before xx
Hi Tina....it's even worse now lol...even I can't be arsed to come on anymore....thankyou xx
